The Bristol Veterans Council has invited all Bristol veterans and also members of Gold Star, Blue Star, and POW/MIA families to participate in the city’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Boulevard Theater at the former Memorial Boulevard School. Those families should check in with the greeters for reserved seating in the front.
“We are thrilled to be back in the Memorial Boulevard theater overlooking the Veterans Memorial Boulevard for this ceremony,” stated Bob Renta, chairman of the Veterans Council, in a press release. “With the 50th anniversary of Vietnam approaching, we want to issue a special invitation to all Vietnam vets to join us for reserved seating and be recognized during the ceremony.”
The Bristol Veterans Council is collaborating with the MBS Task Force, which is presenting three events at the theater over Veterans Weekend.
The event is free and open to the public. Those requiring assistance should park in the South Street parking area, which has access to the ramp and elevator.
