The Forestville Pumpkin Festival clan wish to thank the hundreds who attended and those who participated in the pumpkin carving, scarecrow contest, costume pet, and children’s parades.
Scarecrow cash prize winners were: Trinette Robinson, first for recycle; Patti Patterson, second for bunny; and Jason and Tasha Brown’s Sponge Bob placed third.
The carved pumpkin gift card drawing winners were: Heather VonHagen, first; Tina Landrette, second; and Brittany Machia, third.
In the carved pumpkin Funny category, first place was D.J. Green; second, Kellie Lacko; and third, Randy Denoto.
Creative class winners were: first, Elizabeth Cox; second, Audrey Totire; and third, Alyssa Guertin.
In the Spooky division, Mikey Denote was first; Luke Losacano, second; with William Porciello third.
The Original awards went to Patty Jacques, first; Rhonda Denoto, second; and Cari Marchak, third.
Pet Costume Parade judges awarded the Best of Show prize to Tim Frenette’s dog Oreo dressed as a huge Oreo cookie. Cutest was Mike Opperman’s dog Lotto wearing a pumpkin outfit. The Scariest winner was Laurie Nilsen’s dog Mimi dressed as a witch. Most Original, small dogs Lucy and Ruby were tiny little bees. They were accompanied by Abb, Meghan, and Michael Patterson.
The Forestville Village Association would like to thank Allied Sanitation, Bristol Auto Club, Bristol Sign Art, Max Pizza III, Nuchie’s, Nye Agency, Oasis, O’Brien Funeral Home, Simply Hair, Spare Time Bristol, T D Bank, Ticket Software, Tollman Spring, Torrington Walmart, Ultimate Wire and Webster Bank. Also, the Bristol Park and Recreation, Fire Department, Public Works, organizations and individuals who made our 2014 Forestville Pumpkin Festival, a fun-filled memorable event.
