The 10th edition of the Forestville Village Association’s holiday ornament is now available. As in past years, the price is $10. The 2013 ornament features the F.N. Manross Memorial Library.
The Manross Library was established on Dec. 31, 1949 when Arthur N. Manross donated the former homestead of his father F.N. Manross to the City of Bristol. The library was a two-story house built in 1899.It stood on the corner of Central and Garden streets on what is now the front lawn of the current library. The land on which the previous library was located was sold in 1947. The current F.N. Manross Memorial Library was built in 1975.
