American Legion Post 2 will be hosting an “Afternoon with Santa” at American Legion Post 2 on Sunday, Dec. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. This will be an afternoon filled with holiday music, games and activities, and of course Santa Claus live in person. There will be crafts for the children, and cookie decorating and coloring, with games like pin the nose on Rudolph and Frosty. Santa will be showing the children how to draw their own Christmas card, and a photographer will be on hand to take pictures of each child with Santa with the pictures being emailed to each family. Each child that registers in advance will receive some nice items to take home with them including gifts from Santa. Refreshments and holiday snacks will be available for all in attendance.
Registrations of children ages toddler to 10 years,need to be made no later than Friday, Dec. 11 by calling the Post Commander Russ Trudel and leaving the name , age, and gender of each child.
The afternoon will end with a personal reading by Santa Claus himself of “The Night Before Christmas” for all the children before he leaves to make his rounds in preparation of Christmas Eve coming up.
