In conjunction with National Catholic Schools Week and as part of their new collaborative structure, Saint Matthew School and Saint Joseph School will host open houses at both locations on Sunday, Jan. 31 for prospective Pre-K through grade 8 students and their families.

Saint Joseph School’s open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saint Matthew School’s open house will be held from noon to 3 p.m.

Families are invited to explore both campuses and meet the faculty and staff to have questions answered regarding the schools, their curriculum, programs, activities, and athletics as well as the application process. Parent volunteers and student ambassadors will lead tours and provide the opportunity to meet other families.

The community is welcome to attend.

Recently, a new model of Bristol Catholic school education was created that builds on the strengths of both Saint Joseph and Saint Matthew Schools, positioning them for sustainability and future growth. The new model is meant to ensure high academic standards along with strong Catholic faith formation. One school board will support both schools and Saint Joseph and Saint Matthew Schools will maintain an identical tuition and fee structure. They will share resources, which include faculty and programming as well as joint marketing. The distinct academic and spiritual traditions of St. Anthony School which will close at the end of this academic year will be incorporated into the culture of Saint Matthew and Saint Joseph Schools.

Saint Joseph School is located at 335 Center St., Bristol, and Saint Matthew School is located at 33 Welch Dr. in Forestville.
