Manufacturing Economic Outlook conference set for Feb. 18

Connecticut Tooling & Machining Association, New England Spring and Metalstamping Association, and Smaller Manufacturers Association will host a Manufacturing Economic Outlook 2016 conference on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the CoCo Key Conference Center, 3580 East Main Street, Waterbury from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Networking and appetizers will be held from 5:30 to 6 p.m., a buffet dinner from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and the program followed by Q & A from 7 to 8 p.m. The cost to attend the event is $40 per person and a cash bar will be available.

The event, moderated by Bonnie Stewart from CBIA’s Governmental Affairs, will feature a panel discussion focusing on the future of the economic landscape in manufacturing, specifically what hurdles and challenges 2016 will bring and how manufacturers can work around these to make this a successful year. The panel will be composed of: Len Fasano (R) – State Senate Minority Leader, Selim Noujaim (R) – State Senior Republican Whip and Co-Chair of the Manufacturing Caucus, Joan Hartley (D) – Deputy President Pro Tempore and Co-Chair of the Manufacturing Caucus, and Themis Klarides (R) – State House Republican Leader.
