Nicastro leads ‘Pledge’ at General Assembly session

Representative Frank Nicastro of Bristol, left, was invited by House Speaker Brendan Sharkey of Hamden to lead members of the state House of Representatives at the ceremonial ‘Pledge of Allegiance’ to the flag at last Friday’s legislative session. Lawmakers were gathered in special session to consider a final vote of the 2017 state budget. Nicastro, has announced his retirement, and as vice chairman of the Veteran’s Committee is serving out his final days in the General Assembly.
