A second Community Visioning Session for Centre Square will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Rockwell Park. The session will be one of many exhibits at the Rockwell Park Summer Festival. Guests are invited share their thoughts and ideas for the redevelopment of Downtown Bristol. The Summer Festival will have a variety of other activities for all ages including food, craft vendors, live music, and a car show. Admission to the festival is free. Included on the website is the Downtown Bristol Visioning Survey – an interactive survey in which users can participate in the visioning process for Centre Square by offering suggestions and feedback for the downtown site’s redevelopment. The Bristol Development Authority (BDA), in partnership with planning consultant Milone & MacBroom, is conducting a “master planning” process as part of the redevelopment of Centre Square – the former Depot Square and Bristol Centre Mall site. The “master planning” project will create a redevelopment plan for Centre Square that connects to, and integrates well with, the existing Downtown. The goal of the project is to determine how the site may be redeveloped, what the City can do to facilitate such development, and how the City can ensure a cohesive, vibrant, and pedestrian-friendly Downtown
