Herbert “Herbie” Sherman, 77, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Herbert was born at St. John’s Hospital in Queens, New York on November 9, 1938 and was the son of the late Irving and Julia (Deutsch) Sherman. Herbert was a longtime resident of Bristol. His granddaughter was the apple of his eye and he embraced her joy and laughter. He always put his family’s needs ahead of his own. Herbert was truly a remarkably brave man and will be greatly missed. Herbert is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Palmer) Sherman.
