Emmett H. Seckington,87, of Bristol, former Terryville resident, husband of Mary (Rossi) Seckington died Friday October 7, 2016 at Sheriden Woods, Bristol.
Emmett was born February 2, 1929 in Roxbury, VT, son of the late Henry & Mary (Flinn) Seckington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the former Superior Electric / Dana Corp. of Bristol. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church, Bristol and member of the American Legion Bristol Post #2.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Henry Seckington of Terryville; Shannon Seckington and his wife Valarie of PA; his daughter-in-law, Laura Seckington of Bristol; his grandchildren Shaun, Tina and Ryan Seckington and his great grandchildren, Dustyn Griffin and Sadie Seckington and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Richard, four sisters and one brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00AM on Saturday October 15, 2016 at St Anthony Church, Bristol. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
A gathering will be at the American Legion Bristol Post #2, Hooker Court, Bristol CT immediately following the cemetery service.
