Obituaries: Shirley S. Andrew

Shirley S. (Camire) Andrew, 78, of Bristol, widow of John R. Andrew, died on Wednesday (December 14, 2016) at Hartford Hospital.  Shirley was born in Bristol on January 23, 1938 and was one of four children of the late Clement and Eva (Servant) Camire.  Raised in Bristol, she formerly resided in Thomaston for 25 years before returning to Bristol.  She worked for Plymouth Spring and Superior Electric before retiring and she enjoyed her volunteer work with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC), Imagination Museum, Red Cross, and Countryside Manor.  Shirley is survived by two children: Sandra Packard and husband, Ron, of Burlington, and  Scott Yuschak and wife, Robin, of Thomaston; three step-daughters: Jacqueline Howe of Idaho, Elizabeth Doddemeade of Winsted, and Miriam Jones of Sharon; two brothers: Robert Camire and wife, Doris, of Leesburg, FL, and Jim Camire and wife, Linda, of Arvada, CO; a sister; Beatrice Charest and husband, Norm, of Port St. Lucie West, FL; four grandchildren: Adam Yuschak, Sheri Yuschak Jason Packard, and Justin Packard; 11 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews.  She was predeceased by two step-sons: Martin and Steven Andrew.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Monday (December 19, 2016) between 9 and 10 AM followed by a funeral service at 10 AM.  Burial will be private in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.  Please visit Shirley’s memorial website at   www.FunkFuneralHome.com
