Starting on Friday, August 16, the Bristol Greeners of the Connecticut Tri-State Baseball League will square off against the winner of Tri-Town Trojans and Bethlehem Plowboys’ third and final semifinal game to determine the 2013 champion of the North Division.

The winner of the best-of-three series moves on to the Tri-State World Series starting next week.

The third and final semifinal Tri-Town/Bethlehem game was postponed due to rain this past Tuesday in the bottom of the eighth inning and will conclude before the Greeners take the field at Fussenich Park in Torrington.

Tri-Town is ahead in the contest 11-8 and the game will recommence at 7 p.m. on Friday.

About a half hour later, the Greeners will take on the winners to open the North Division championship.

On Saturday, Bristol is back in action at 3 p.m. for the second contest in the three-game series and if needed, Sunday’s game will take place at 7 p.m. to determine the ultimate winner.

Waterbury and Naugatuck are the other two teams battling it out in the South Division.

All games take place from Fussenich Park.
