The Art League of New Britain (ALNB) at 30 Cedar Street New Britain, Ct. will be holding its 24th Annual Members Carriage House Exhibition from Oct. 3 to 26, 2014. There will be an Opening Reception on Friday, Oct. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.
This is juried for prizes exhibition, open to ALNB members (artists are invited to join today.)
The juror for the show will be Greg Shea. Shea lives in Hamden and has a BFA (illustration) from Syracuse University. He is the senior museum preparator at Yale Center for British Art, where he has worked for 18 years. His work in acrylics, watercolor, Pastel pencil and graphite has been exhibited and he has won numerous awards.
Prizes will be: $150, first prize; $100, second prize; and $75, third prize. Honorable Mention will receive an Aardvark Framing $100 certificate.
General Entry Information: wall work-Total width of all submitted wall artworks cannot exceed 60 inches. All wall work must be wired for hanging. If sculpture /floor/pedestal work or 3D artwork goes beyond normal pedestal dimensions, contact the gallery director at contact@alnb.org
Entry Fee: Paid members /renewing Members will be free. (Donations for opening gratefully accepted). There is a Limit of four entries per artist. Please note: Total width of all submitted wall artworks cannot exceed 60 inches.
