Police report an attempted pick-up on Arbor Court

Bristol police reported an attempted pick-up of a 13-year-old girl that occurred Friday a little after 5 p.m. on Arbor Court. A press release said the girl was walking on the sidewalk when a large white van made a sudden stop near her and a male suspect asked the girl if she wanted a ride. The girl declined and the suspect asked her again if “she was sure she did not want a ride,” the release said. The girl walked away quickly and did not see where the van went. The release said there was no other description of the suspect, just that the van was a “white work van.”
