Obituaries: Emile A. Martin

Emile A. Martin, 87, of Bristol, widower of Georgette M. (Cyr) Martin, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Emile was born on June 20, 1928 in Edmundston, NB, Canada and was a son of the late Treffler and Georgina (Couturier) Martin. He was raised in Edmundston and moved to Bristol in 1967 where he was employed at Accurate Brass prior to retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol. Emile is survived by a daughter, Claudette Ferrante of Bristol; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son; John C. Martin; a Brother: Aldi Martin and two sisters: Yvonne Bouchard and Germain Migneau. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of VITAS Hospice, for their compassion and care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (January 7, 2016), 10 AM at St. Ann Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours.
