Giulio A. Baldaccini, 89, of Bristol, husband of Phyllis (Lacovara) Baldaccini, died on Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at home. Giulio was born on July 20, 1926 in Bristol and was the youngest of six children of the late Dante and Anna Baldaccini. A lifelong Bristol resident, he attended Bristol schools before going to work for the former H.J. Mills Box Company. There he worked for three generations and over 45 years before retiring upon its’ closing in 1989. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and was an avid bowler having bowled in many area leagues. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Yankee fan. Giulio was a real family man and he will be missed by his wife of nearly 60 years, Phyllis, and his son, Michael Baldaccini of Bristol. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marino (Jean) Baldaccini of Bristol, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his five siblings and spouses: Hugo and Rose Baldaccini, Galileo and Katherine “Kitty” Baldaccini, Marino Baldaccini, Theresa Baldaccini, and Julia Archambault. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (March 28, 2016) at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony Church, 111 School Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Monday between 10 and 11 AM.
