On Saturday, May 14, The National Association of Letter Carriers conducted its 24th Annual Food Drive. Carriers all across the United States collected food as they delivered mail on their routes in what has become the largest one day food drive in the country. All of that food remained in the community.

Volunteers assisted the letter carriers collect and distribute the food from the following organizations: The Salvation Army, Mother Theresa Food Pantry, St. Vincent DePaul Shelter, Christian Fellowship, and Meals for the Needy.

Besides the volunteers and the letter carriers, many, many helped to create such a worthy event. R & R corrugated donated boxes, Sign Pro with the banner, Bristol Public Works with putting banner up on Memorial Boulevard, Stop N Shop, Shoprite, and Price Chopper for donating grocery bags and getting flyers out to shoppers, Creative Marketing Group for printing flyers, Ladies of St. Ann Church for stapling flyers to bags, and the generous citizens of Bristol who donated 15,035 pounds of food.
